Clarissa Alvarez García is a Senior Research Associate at Moderna, where she assists in developing in vitro data packages to support the advancement of Moderna’s mRNA technology platform and pipeline. In addition, she is a founding member of UNIDOS, an employee resource group for Hispanics/Latinx and their allies.


Clarissa earned her BSc in Genomic Biotechnology at the Autonomous University of Nuevo Leon in Monterrey, Mexico, in 2016. During the past 6 years, she has had the opportunity to participate in different research experiences in Mexico, Germany, and the United States. Her research interests lie in the areas of molecular and cellular biology, immunology, gene-editing, and bioinformatics.
